Is the effort of creating art and then being your own marketer and posting on social media worth it? Many people struggle with the fear of posting on social media. Whether it’s worrying about being judged, overthinking things, or comparing yourself to others, the anxiety around sharing online is more common than you’d think.
Won’t Ai-Scraper-Bots just steal all my work, if I post on social Media?

I still post my art on Social Media – with Fear
Rather I should say with the knowledge that is is being stolen, or bot scrapped, I mean how could it not be? We saw in the last few years that impressions, clicks and engagement has plummeted.
Pages such as Instagram have become pay to play. Once I build up Sketchnetics & the content them I’m more than happy to put a few bucks towards marketing my artwork, for now its like a process of archiving my work. Honestly I post 5% of the work I create, for the singular reason that it is being used to train my “competition” or “replacement” Ha! Once you get to a point in life where you can create the art for yourself – all that other world circumstance stuff, yes it matters but it just won’t bother you no more.
I still post in a few places out of reflex for example my private instagram page and then double up on the Sketchnetics Instagram Social Media page
In conclusion
The real secret sauce is to post on Youtube it seems as all the other social media platforms suck as letting you audience leave their platform to check your store, or page. Youtube on the other had embraces that aspect. Now with Sora2 I suspect all the artist posting their time lapses might start to have second thoughts about posting. Funny world we live in – just make art! Post it or keep it for yourself!
Thank you for reading.
Much Love
